Deep Into Writing 10/25/24

Writing topics seem to be all that you can talk about these days, am I right? Or is it write? I’m editing my son’s supplementary essays and throwing them into an AI evaluator that just says the same thing every time - be more specific here, you’re too generic there. And I just found out that AOs will know if a parent edits a child’s essay if there are two spaces after the period! Whoa. What if you just think something was a run on sentence and bam! Your kid’s out! Probably not going to happen. But it’d cross my mind for sure. Those people are pure evil just sitting there waiting for any mistake so they can rip up an application and throw it into the wind. Again, not likely. 

Writing is hard for many folks. There are so many ways to do it and then the grammar and punctuation and spelling… That’s probably the reason I went with science and math. You got partial credit for adding when you meant to subtract. I’m not sure that happens in writing? Maybe? I just prefer to write conversationally. Like I’m talking to someone. It just works.

And, I’m not having any writing conversations today because...GMail is blocking all my sent mail from my business account! The only way I’ve seen to fix it is to wait it out. 4-5 days. So, I’ll just keep blogging!
